Does Iron in baby formula make the stool turn black?
My nephew was started on a new formula again because he didn’t take to well to the others. He is now on a Similac formula that is already made; the kind in the can. It contains iron. Now he has black stool. Could it be from the iron or should we think its dried blood?
Iron will turn stools black, most definitely.
