Those who have read The Kite Runner….?

For an assignment, I am creating a collage to represent one of the characters from the book, “The Kite Runner.” I need lots of images and ideas… so far, I have the basics. Afghanistan, typewriter, kites, pomegranates, book/pages… but what else can I put? I am thinking of stuff to symbolically represent him, but what?

The cut and bloody hands of the runner when he tries to collect the kite strings.

The dry and sandy winds across the plains and the city rooftops

The variances of sunlight and dawn to dusk. Many bright images of colors.

His naked feet running on the rooftops. Slowly building up calluses
